Welcome to "Better Appraisers" a forum dedicated to users of AppraisalCoach mentoring services, and in addition, to any appraisers who seek "to do things right".

Better Appraisers is a way to distinguish appraisers who are interested in performing with integrity from those who are just here to make money. Those who value quality over quantity. The latter have been ruining it for the former for as long as there have been appraisers. That is the spirit behind "Better Appraisers".

An group that will stand up for appraisers independence, promote and advocate for the profession, be willing to embrace and adapt to changing technologies (as opposed to trying to compete with them), be willing to strenuously limit the liability of its practitioners, to create and vigorously protect an environment which allows appraisers the opportunity and the ability to succeed by doing things right.

Perhaps it will evolve into an alternative to the traditional designations, but it starts with a pledge, a pledge to do things right, and acknowledgement that appraisers deserve respect. Until appraisers are treated with the respect accorded other professions, nothing will change.
