Better Appraisers Update

Postby AppraisalCoach on Tue Dec 04, 2007 9:17 pm

Hi Everyone,

I apologize for not being around much the past few weeks. Things have been extremely busy for me at work. I see that we have a bunch of new members. To them I say WELCOME. PLEASE dont be a lurker, please fee free to contribute and post.

If anyone is interested in helping moderate and grow the forum, please email me. I would like this to be the best forum ever for appraisers but I cant do it alone.
We dont need to be the biggest, but we would like to be bigger. To the handful of contributors who have hung in there consistantly these few months, I give a special thank you. You guys and gal know who you are.

Also if you would like to write for the BLOG please let me know. Dont worry about experience level, as we could use someone to scour the net and gather relevent articles.

To all the new members I say, dont be shy, dont wait for the right time to have a voice, the right time is now...we need to hear from you also.

As we move into this holiday season, lets be thankful for what we have. I read a quote in time magazine, something to the effect that 1 million Americans have ipods while 500 million people have no plumbing. I try and keep this perspective as we face increasing fuel bills, a cold winter for some, the challenges of the market today. Now more than ever we need each other.

Ok thats my discombobulated rant....lets here from you

Can I get a comp check ??

Hi guys! So nice to see some posts. It really is wonderful to see the numbers grow but please... toss out some topics for discussion (please). Welcome old and new and lets keep this going, ok?

Hey guys. I'm sitting here reading over the posts from the last few months... what there are of them. We are falling short of the glory, of the intended purpose of this forum. I think (without benefit of speaking with Coach) it's time for something different. I fear I'm a very ineffective moderator. I don't have the time to devote to any type of growth potential. The mission was for this to be a place to come for help, advice and leave feeling good about yourself and the profession. It's not happening. I would like some suggestions, please. I realize there are some other very good forums out there, maybe there is no real need for a forum of this type? Please let me know your thoughts about this so I can make a fair assessment, at least so far as my involvement. Kind of a selfish request, I guess, but it's time to do something. Thank you all very much!
